Our Mission
Meta-Phys Ed. creates original performance works that explore the relationship between religion, spirituality, culture and politics; often drawing inspiration from sacred and classical text.
Meta-Phys Ed. was founded in 2011 by Jesse Freedman and Rabbi Bronwen Mullin, and it continues to emanate from their shared interest in ancient Jewish text, contemporary forms, and experimental process.
Now under the Artistic Direction of Jesse Freedman, Meta-Phys Ed. is a diverse collaboration of artists and intellectuals. They have presented work at The New Ohio Theater, La Mama, The NY Fringe, IRT Theater, The Brick, Dixon Place and The Doxsee @ Target Margin Theater.
